Welcome to Bailiff Advice Online
There is a great deal of confusion not only about the charging
and manner in which bailiffs execute warrants, but about the entire
process, such as: a levy, warrants of executions, walking possession
to name but a few.
Sadly there is a great deal of abuse within the industry, in
particular with the charges that are made and the manner is which
a bailiff is acting. Due to the severe cutbacks in legal aid, we have attempted, in
this site, to give to you sufficient information so that you will
be able to write a letter of complaint personally , not only to
the bailiff company, the company that instructed them but the
courts also, in a way that is clear and easy to understand. To
assit you in this, we have provided over 65 individual documents
that can be accessed from our Downloads
section.
DRAFT LETTERS
Under the Letters section of our Downloads area you will see that we are providing you with variety of
draft letters that can be easily adapted to suit your own particular
circumstances.
LEGAL CASES
Due to the complexity of Bailiff law, and with individuals being
unaware of their rights, it is a fact that very few people resort
to legal action and therefore there are sadly very few legal cases
being reported. In the Legal Cases section of our Downloads area, you will see
that we have provided you with the details and the summing up
of those cases that are relevant and that can be vital in the
event that you wish to pursue a legal case, or even to quote in
a letter of complaint to the relevant local authority etc.
HOW MUCH IS OUR FEE ?
As the information in our Downloads section has had to be extensively researched,
sometimes by way of Freedom of Information requests, we are making a nominal fee of just £5 for 5 Donwloads or a one off fee of £10 for unlimited access to all of the documents in our Downloads area. Payment of this charge can now be made by either debit or credit card directly through our website. You will find full details of this
under our section entitled Downloads
TELEPHONE SUPPORT LINE
From feedback that we have received, many people have immedate bailiff issues that they wish to discuss personally. To assist, we have now introduced a Help Line. As we are not publicly funded, we do have to make a charge for this additional service. The cost is £1 per minute. There are no hidden costs, but please do ensure that you call us from a BT landline as other operators such a Virgin , NTL and Talk Talk charge much more.
By telephoning us we can also check for you whether a bailiff appears on our register of Certificated Bailiffs. This should take no more than 1 minute!! and therefore should cost just £1.
The telephone number is: 0906 550 0145. (Hours 8.30am to 7pm)
